Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald attended the funeral of her grandmother, Mrs. Petch, at Markham on Saturday after- Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Honey, Ottawa, spent the week-end with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. T. McDonald, and visited Mr. Honey who is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough. Miss Barbara Spencer of Toronto spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spencer. Mrs. Larry Lariviere of Turner Valley, Alberta, is visiting her father and sister, Mr. Wm. Sheldrick and Miss Ethel Sheldrick and also her mother, Mrs. Wm. Sheldrick who is a patient in Wellesley Hospital, Toronto. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. George Pearce who moved from Grafton to Colborne on Satur- Miss Marjorie Muskett visited Mrs. Florence Wood, Oshawa, last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Davis spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hess at Hastings. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Greenfield and Mrs. Harold Black spent spent the week-end in Burlington visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mor-ley Black and family. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and Barbara of Toronto spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Myles. Mrs. Gladys Hart spent Monday and Tuesday in Scarboro with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cork-ery and Danny. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ives and Mrs. Alex Chattterson aci panied Mr. Clarke Chatterson of Toronto to Rochester week-end where they attended the funeral of their aunt, the late Mrs. Charles Sullivan. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson and family, Napanee. Mrs. M. J. New Organization Meeting The programme committee of the new women's organization, the United Church Women, met at the home of Mrs. Jack Smith last Tuesday evening. A profitable evening was spent as the ladies planned a programme for each meeting throughout 1962. The first meeting, which will be held next week at the home of Mrs. Cecil Bellamy, is under the direction of Mrs. Alfred Smith. A short skit has been planned for this first gathering of the U.C.W. Campbell on January 22nd, 1962. The meeting opened with a hymn followed by the 23rd Psalm, prayer followed, another hymn sung closed the worship Election of officers for the unit was conducted and are as follows: Unit Leader, Lorna Campbell; Assistant Leader, Emma Westrope; Recording Secretary, Kathy O'Neill; Treasurer, Eunice Smith; Worship Conven-Vera Arkles; Program Con-ers, Mabel McKay and Kathy O'Neill. The meetings will be held in the different homes and the unit will meet every fourth Monday at 8.00 p.m. The next meeting will be at the horfie of Mrs. Rowsome. A social hour was spent with efreshments which brought the meeting to a close. Executive Committee: W. Kilner, D. Gillespie, G. Fletcher, J. Nelson and W. Marcellus. Zone Commander, Jerry Simpson, and his team from Brighton were the installing officers.
