Heads Up! Peculiar to our modern history, are the accounts of men who predicted our Lord's return to a specific day and hour. Most of these were even naive enough to set another date when the first setting was a failure. When any human person sets the date for the Lord's return, know this, He will not ing will become a dead and cold thing. Ministers will prea-anything ahd everything but the Gospel. They will not care for the flock as shepherds ought to care. Their preaching will be to please and sooth ■ather than to correct and convict. There will be less manifestation of the Spirit of God in men's lives. All this, my friends, is a sign of His coming again. Iniquity shall abound. Sin will be open and desperately practiced.. This day we have debauchery and vice rampant on every hand. The police forces are fearful of the thrust •of evil. Jesus is speaking to us today. Heads Up! Before the time of the end there" shall be a falling away. The love of many even now is waxed cold. They are falling awayv Some years ago our churches were filled each Sunday, other churches were begun to accomodate and to preach the Gospel, now, every minister is bewailing the fact that the church is almost empty. Once filled our churches twice each Sunday and a host present for Bible study prayer each week during the week, but now few attend regularly. Why! because there Is a coldness, and a powerlessnes: and laxity in spiritual things spreading over the land; many are falling away ............Heads Up! "He that endureth unto the end the same shall be saved' When the Gospel is gone out to all the world then shall the end be. Beware the snare at this point. The Gospel according to Collossians 1:23 is already preached to every people. All the day are using translation work, radio and TV mediums. Actually, the requirement is fulfilled and does not hinder His coming today. As time is granted, the process of fulfilling is ever going on, making the Coming of the Lord even more and more evident each day. The Bible Societies are printing new translations and the Gospel of Christ is spreading out and out unto the day when He comes. Friends, Heads Up! ner of life we should be follow-is this of Francis of Ass-A certain man approached Francis as he was hoeing present time. People, Heads Up! On one occasion Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it withered and dried up. The fig tree is typical of the Jewish People. The Jews are God's timepiece. If we watch the movement of the Jewish people, we know Mvhat hour God is at. The fig tree withered and here Jesus' is speaking again of the fig tree. When you see the fig tree putting forth its leaves, Heads Up! "I am at the door", saith Jesus. The Jewish people are now a recognized nation in their own promised land. Since 1948 every prophecy and sign of His coming is fulfilled sufficient that there is nothing to hinder His coming at any time. He is coming. Heads Up! As it was in the days of Noah so shall the coming of the Son of Man be. How was it in the days of Noah? May I take the liberty to say they were more righteous than we are. Noah sponsive was building the ark and preaching the judgment of God, and people stood there and laughed and heckled as he built a boat in the desert. Today we preach judgment and repentance and the people sit in church and nod their heads, whisper Amen and thank the preacher but do noting about it. Well, in the days of Noah they were having the times of their lives so they thought. They were gluttonous, they ate to the full, materialistic philosophy was rampant. Noah, a man of righteousness was the object of their scorn. Why work so hard, let us eat drink and be merry. Thoughtless and heedless they plunged themselves into Christless eternity. They had big weddings and festivals, indulging in sin and sex, paying no attention to God's messenger, and in that day their saviour, in the person of Noah. They married and divorced at on Sunday morning, January 14th. Inaugural Service Leaflet, prepared by Rev. Norah L. Hughes, MA., B.A., Ph.D., was followed and conducted by Rev. R. J. Knock. The Israelites are to make the sacrifice of Atonement only at Jerusalem, once a year, and in the Temple. Several times the Abomination of Desolation has existed. Mrs. Harry Hare, Oshawa, a retired Missionary of wide experience in many countries including Trinidad and Ceylon, gave the inspired address, entit-"Visions of the Future", which explained the purpose of uniting the Womens Associations and Womans Missionary Society of the Church, to unite all women in the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian Witness, Study, Fellowship and Service. To inaugurate the United Church Women that they may go forward bearing full part in local and world responsibility in the church is believed to be a step forward. To celebrate the beginning, not of a new work, but of a new organization is believed the work can be done better. The experience of many church women's groups suggested it and much prayer and thought have brought us to this day. We can succeed in this organization as in any, only as we put our selves into it, with the will to make great things come to pass.
