They already J have over twenty members. Once a week, on Wednesday afternoon, they meet in the Council Chamber at two o'clock. As far as my information goes, their programme is all recreational. They play cards and other games, then spend a social hour over a light lunch of sand-I wiches, cookies or cake and a good cup of tea. Although their programme so far has been rec-' reational, they expect, with in-|| creased members, to introduce more constructive items. The regular monthly meeting for February of the Shiloh U.C.W. took place on Wednesday, March 7th, following the dinner "get-together", at the home of Mrs. C. J. Mutton. Devotional period was taken by Mrs. C. J. Mutton, topic being "Called to be Saints". Scripture, Isaih 6:1-8, hymns. No. 196 and No. 20. Minutes adopted as read. It was decided to hold our annual Spring Tea and Bake Sale at the home of Mrs. L. E. Mutton June 6th, T962. - Programme was in the form of a question and answer period on Ontario's New Vocational System to be instituted in Secondary Schools, discussion leader being Mrs. W. W. Mutton, j There was also a contest, "A 1 Winter's Game". The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction. THIEVES ENTER LOCAL HARDWARE STORE Thieves were on the prowl again in Colborne on Monday night. They entered Williams Hardware Store, operated by Walter Williams. The thieves gained entry to the store through a back window, and took about twenty dollars in silver from the cash register. Mr. Williams also had left some money in the safe and had left the safe open, but the thieves did not touch the safe. Chief George Blyth who is investigating said the robbery occurred between 8 and 9.30 on Monday evening. Harvey, Lunch.
