Mr. and Mrs. Sid Walters, Toronto, visited Mr. J. C. Bow-en and Mrs. Haynes on Satur- Mr. and Mrs. McMurray Gil-mour visited her mother, Mrs. Gunter, on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Poole of Hastings spent Thursday with Mrs. Arkils and Mr. Vanwicklin. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Campbell of Warkworth visited Mr. and Mrs. H. Ducie on Thursday. Mrs. H. Welton and Mrs. F. Warner visited Mrs. W. Rutherford, Colborne, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G. Carr entertained a number of friends to a dinner party on Saturday night. The Community Club meeting will be held on Tuesday night, April 17th, at the Orange Hall. Hostesses, Mrs. Lyle Jones and Mrs. Allan Jones. Conveners, Mrs. George Warner and Mrs. W. Semlitch. Mrs. L. Taylor was in Toronto on Saturday. Mr. Albert Rusk had a good turnout at his auction sale on Thursday. The Community Club is holding a coffee Party, Bazaar and Bake Sale in the church basement this Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle McCulloch and family of Brighton visited Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Inglis on Sunday. Mr. A. Wolfraim was in Toronto attending a Masonic Convention this week. Castleton Pentecostal W.M.C. The W.M.C. of the Castleton Pentecostal Church met on April 2nd, 1962, at the parsonage. Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted, followed by the roll call. The President, Mrs. Carbert, read the monthly bulletin, a letter from Miss Lemmon, National Director, and other Missionary news items, including the latest list of Missionaries on furlough and those returning to the field. The President suggested we consider sending gifts for the married students, graduating from the Peterborough Pente-cosal Bible College this year. It was moved by Mrs. Richardson and seconded by Mrs. Ball, that we send pillow cases and towels. Carried. Prayer for foreign missionaries was offered by Mrs. Bush and requests for Home Mission Workers and local needs were taken by Mrs. Ball. The offering was received. We then continued our project of making mottos from used greeting cards combined with Scripture verses in the Lulu- gooli language. Lunch was served by Mrs. Carbert. Castleton U.C.W. The Easter meeting of the Castleton U.C.W. was held in the Sunday School room on April 5th, 1962, with twenty-two members present. The President, Mrs. H. Allen, opened the meeting with a hymn and prayer and a few words of welcome. The minutes of the January meeting were read by the Secretary, Mrs. W. Wentworth, and approved. Mrs. J. Blakeley announced that the Messengers will hold a Family Night programme on April 25th at 8.00 p.m. A cordial invitation was given to all to attend. Mrs. G. Carr brought a message from Mrs. C. An invitation was received from the United Church Colborne ladies to attend the Centennial Tea on the afternoon of April 14th. Convener of the membership committee, Mrs. G. Welton, reported 29 members. Mrs. C. Haynes reported for the Supply Committee and asked for good used clothing for children 1 to 6 years. Good used clothing (all ages) especially for men is requested for an overseas bale, and should be left at the Post Office. Mrs. D. Dingwall, Christian Stewardship Secretary, read a chapter from an interesting book, "Stewardship For To-day's Women". An inspiring Easter Worship Service and programme was arranged and conducted by Mrs. C. McKague, Easter hymns were sung and the seven last sayings of Jesus were read and commented on by seven members. Mrs. G. Welton, Mrs. W. J. Tait, Mrs. D. Dingwall, Mrs. G. Carr, Mrs. C. Haynes, Mrs. A. West and Mrs. W. Wentworth. Mrs. C. McKague read a poem, "He Is Risen". The roll call was answered with an Easter verse or by prayer. Mrs. W. Nelson read "The Dogwood Tree", Mrs. J. Bailey read "At Easter". Mrs. G. Devine and Mrs. E. Jones sang a duet, "He Lives". Mrs. C. Nelson read "An er Message", by Rev. Angus McQueen. Mrs. J. Blakely read "He Has No Hands But Our Hands". The meeting closed with a hymn and benediction. The hostesses, Mrs. D. Dingwall and Mrs. G. Devine served a very enjoyable lunch.
