Unit II of Eden U.C.W. held their monthly dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Gillman in Hilton on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stimers spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Alf Feather, Belleville, and Sunday attended their Sunday School picnic at Crystal Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pearson visited their son, Russell, in' Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday and were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Bennett. Russell returned home on Moll-day. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mr. Roy Packard, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pearson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pearson and Mr. Ernest Pearson attended the funeral of the late Mrs. William Pearson, Sr., Oshawa, on Wednesday at the Armstrong Funeral Home. Little Miss Barbara Oliver is at present in Trenton Memorial Hospital with pneumonia but is recovering satisfactorily. Miss Karen Slater, Castleton, spent a few days last week with Judy Mutton. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mutton visited Mr. Austin Maher, Cobourg, on Tuesday evening and Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Mutton, Shiloh, on Saturday evening. r. and Mrs. Clifford Oliver and Gail, King City, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Oliver. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Oliver and family joined them Sunday on a family picnic at Percy Boom. Unit'III of Eden U.C.W. held a quilting last Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Keith Stimers. Mr. Robert Darke returned home on Wednesday after spending three weeks in Brampton and Cannington and attended the 50th wedding anniversary of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Shier at Uxbridge. His sister, Mrs. Margaret Peterson accompanied him to Newmarket where they spent a couple of days with Mrs. L. W. Beverly. Miss Karen Island, Colborne, was a Sunday supper guest with Mr. Harold Peters at the home of Mrs. Roy Chapman. Mr. and Mrs. Alf Feather and Brenda and Miss Nell Morley, Belleville, surprised Mrs. Keith Stimers on Friday evening in honour of her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Samons, Cobourg, called on Mr. and Mrs. Archie Samons on Thursday evening. Our sincere sympathy of the neighbourhood is extended to Mrs. H. Gaynor and family in the loss of her son-in-law, Dr. A. A. Case, who passed away in Waterloo on Sunday. Mr. and Mr. C. R. Johansen, Kitchener, spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. George Armstrong. Mrs. Harry Stickle and Mrs. Russell Eckert attended the Eckert-Crisp wedding in St. Bar-nabus Church, Toronto, on Saturday and were guests at the reception following the ceremony. Armstrong over the week-end were Mrs. Lewis and Miss Florence Dewy and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kempster and daughters, Belleville, and S/L Grant and Mrs. Armstrong and Philip of Ottawa. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stickle who celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary over the week-end. Parents of children who have not already registered for these classes please ask yourself these questions. Can my child stay afloat until help arrives if the boat turns over? The Intermediate and Seniors start on August 3rd and continue on until August 28th. EDEN U.C.W. UNIT ONE Unit I Eden U.C.W. held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Stuart Oliver on Wednesday, May 27th. The meeting opened with devotions conducted by Mrs. Oliver. Scripture, Hebrews 11:1-10, topic, "Show faith by complete trust in God and prayer closed the devo-lional period. Plans were made for catering at the sale at Meckin's barn when it is completed, also further plans for their tea and bazaar to be held in October. More particulars HEALTH REPORT (continued) Immunization Sixty clinics were held in Health Unit offices and schools, during May. Sixty-two children completed the initial series of Quad vaccine, and 108 received a reinforcing dose. 464 children were given a reinforcing dose of diphtheria and tetanus toxoid and polio vaccine.
