Notes
Comment submitted (April 2024): "The building next to the Town Hall is Bill Onyon's B/A Service Station and garage. He died in 1954 and the business was sold to Arnold and Mac Pettibone in 1955, who continued to operate it as The Pettibone Bros.

The Colborne Express of August 4, 1955 contains The Pettibone Bros advertisement as Pontiac, Buick and GMC Dealers."

Note the fire alarm siren tower behind the building.

Inscriptions
Caption on p.113: "On the ground floor this building had space for the Fire Hall, the Police Office and on the second floor a large meeting hall with stage etc. At the rear of the building were police cells. For a short period the Library was housed in the Police Office. When the High School closed and the Village acquired the ground and building, the Masonic Lodge bought the old Town Hall. The Village uses the old Fire Hall portion to store maintenance equipment."
