This is a photo of the house at 204 Crandall Road, Colborne 1950. My dad Douglas Martin was born in 1919 in Toronto. His parents, Florence and John Martin, moved to this farm when he was a very young baby and he lived there until 1940 when he signed up for Canadian military service. I am Joyce Dove. Our family has visited Colborne and this farmhouse many, many times in the past. The current house is quite different now, but you can still see the original structure of the house from this same angle. John Martin died in 1939 and Florence in 1958. The farm was sold in the early '50s.
