This is Centennial Year at the United Church Plans and committees are al ready being formed to make this event an outstanding one in the chureh's long history. But this is not the first Centenary of the Methodist (now the United) Church in Colborne. The first Methodist Church was built in 1823 and it had the distinction of being the very first church of any denomination in the village. The first’ Centenary was held from May 20th to May 27th. 1923, during the pastorate of the Rev. R. A.
