CANTON, N.Y., June 29.-Once more Flint and Mashuw, the two alleged coun- terfeiters, whose mysterious escape from Canton jail Thursday caused much excitement, are behind the bars. For three days Flint roamed the country. but in the meantime was only able to get a short way from the county prison. Like a hunted fox he turned hither and thither, but each turn found himself face to face with his pur~ euers and yesterday morning gave up the light for further liberty and walked back to the jail. Monday morning Marahaw also surrendered to the authorities. They explained their escape by claiming that they loosened the bolt which fastened the hasp on the cell door and never touched the lock.
