The wet weather caused the weeds to get a good start in the planted lands, and now it taken the farmer all his time to keep them down. A num- ber of farmers purchased weeders this spring to weed their corn, but they are not using them to any extent. The meadows and spring grain are looking fine so far; there is a larger acre- age of rootaput in this spring than usual, and they are doing well.
