Made Fine Appearance--Cor- onation Medals Presented to Color-Sergt. Sleeth And Band Sergt. Robinson--Sermon to the Soldiers by Rev. G. L. Starr. The annual fall church parade of the officers and men of the 14th Regiment, P.W.0. Killes, took place on Sunday moining. For once at least, the sol- dier boys were favored with good weather, and the streets, through which they marched were dry. A large crowd collected at the armouries to watch the soldiers "fall in." The turnout was verv fair, but not us large as it should have been on such a hne morning. Lieut.-Col. Skinner, the commanding officer, was in charge. Shortly before eleven o'clock the regi ment was drawn up on parade, and formed fours, with the brass anl bugle bands on the right flank. 'ihe commanding officer announced that he had received the medals awarded to the two representatives from the regi ment who had journeyed to Eneland to attend the coronation of King kd ward. In to the word a} command Color-Seret, Sleeth, of "RB company, stepped briskly forward, and Col. Skinner pinned the coveted de ration upon his hreast. The colonel then performed a similar service for Band-Sergt. James. Robinson. This ceremony over, the reciment, headed hy its two eflicient bands, marched out of the armouri and paraded alone Princess and King strepts to St. cathedral, where Rev. G. Lothrop Starr, the regiment's popu- lar chaplain, conducted the sérvice. The men marched steadily and briskly anl presented a splendid appearance. Matins was sung by Rev. G. L. Rev, G. L.. Starr preach- ed an excellent sermon from the text Psalms xxv, 14, "Mine eves are ever looking unto the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net." The preacher urged the necessity for keep- ino the eyes figmly fixed on God, who alone was able' to keep us out of the net of tel mptation.
