Information was received here Thurs. day from Lethbridge, N\W.T., that al most the entire consignment of cattle shipped west a few weeks ago by | see Dénald Vanhorne, of Pittsburg town ship, had been wiped out as the re sult of encountering a blizzard. It appears that the train conveying the cattle became storm-bound at a point between Dunmore and Lethbridge. At the time the severest storm experien- ced in seven years was raging, and the cattle suffered greatly. Many of them died on the care and others ex pived upon landing at Lethbridge, where they were stabled. ~ One letter stated that at the time of writing 157 animale had died and others were not expected to recover.
