Discovered Ancient Gold and Sil- ver Coins While Excavating-- What Has Been Turned Up. Paris, Sept. 16.--In the Vendes, near Troussepoil, interesting archaeological discdverics have heen wade dating back to the Roman period by Drs. Lacouloumiere and Baudoin. They have discovered a number of Gallo-Roman ue, pulchres, some treasures, coins, a series of beautiful Gallo-Roman vases in perfect state of preservation, leather sandals and some primitive agricultur al implements, as well ak the skeletons of a number of domestic animals of the period. Near by, at Salvatolle, other discov eries have been made of dolmans dat ing back to the Druidic period before the Roman conquest. Rare treasures have been found from time to time in Auvergme. The latest discovery was made at Audjerne, where a treasure box full of silver and gold, weighing nearly 200 pounds, was dis covered under a slab in an old manor, owned by Dr. Pitou, a retired naval surgeon. There are coins belonging to every period of the reign of Louis X1X. and of Louis XII. Among the coing there are 900 ecus worth 3 francs each, several bars of silver bullion, the whole estimated at about $40,000. The treasure, according to French law, will be divided between the proprietor of the manor and the workmen who dis covered it, A CHARMING WEDDING. Calabogie, Sept. 14.--Monday, 7th inst., St. Mary's thurch was the scene of 'a pretty wedding, when Miss Anna, eldest daughter of Frank Doolan, was, by Rev. Father Reybone, united in marriage to Kenny La Frange The bride looked charming in a suit of navy blue broadcloth, with white silk waist and hat to match.
