It being a bold shore at the point where the little fellow was precipitat- ed, every struggle he made only car ried him farther out into the deep water. By this time the bridge and ore were lined with spectators, all b with horror. The little fellow struggled avely, but was rapidly getting weaker and weaker, and had sunk for the second time. Excitement was at its height. Several met made an effort to get. the child but failed. Just as the little fellow stopped strue- gling and was sinking for the last time, A. U. Warner arrived on the scene, and alter some difficulty rescued him. Mr. Warner passed him in to willing hands on the shore, who after some exertion, resuscitated the child and delivered * him to the home of his thankful parents. We think, Mr. War- ner is justly entitled to a medal from the Humane Society for the brave act. William L.
