In 15800 Mr. Findlay was an unsuccessful applicant for the office of sheriff of Renfrew, and since then he has fought against Mr. Barr, form er liberal member. A recent comical incident inside the walls of the harem of Sultan Abdul Hamid, shows how strong ig his fear of anarchists, One of the inmates of the harem, had learned from a visitor the use of face powder and bribed one of the eunoch to send to Vienna for a particular brand. In due time the box arrived at Yildiz Kiosk, only to be seized by the secret agents of the sul- tan. With all precautions the suspici- ous box was sent to the laboratory of the army, while the agents report- ed to the sultan that they had seized a box of dynamite. A week later the authorities reported that they had found the contents of the box harm- less, The eunuch was then taken from prison, but punished with banishment for life to Asia Minor for having caus- ed the sultan unnecessary worry, Kant Krack Rubbers. For nearly twenty years I worked to this end. At last, in Germany, my search was rewarded. I found a costly chem- ical that did not disappoint me as other rheumatic prescriptions had dis- appointed physicians everywhere, I do not mean that Dr. Shoop's Rheumatic Cure can turn bony joints into flesh again.
