Christmas eve the inmates were entertained to a Chiistmas tree festival, when Santa Claus' representative, W. Shea, dis- tiibuted a large number of gifts from a wellladen tree, Every inmate was remembered, and there was much re- joicing. At noon Christmas the pa- tiznts fared sumptuously, there heing served everything seasonable, and the diners had a real enjoyable time. In the afternoon there were many visi- tors. L' Hotel Dieu. The celebrations at 1'Hotel Dieu were as joyous as ever.
