Sydney, N.S.W., May 25.~According to a scheme patented by a Sydney business man, the day may come when every household will have fresh . air supplied in pipes, in much the same way as gas and water are how distri: buted. The apparatus consists of a captive balloon, or a series of balloons, with a tube of aluminum communicating with a reservoir on the earth, The re servoir will be kept full of air by the means of a suction fan. This air can be subsequently distributed in pipes to those willing to pay for it. That, at any rate, is the theory. The idea also covers the supply of oxygen in hermetically 'sealed rooms for. the treatment of patients suffering from consumption or anaemia. A fur ther motion is to fill bags, with high- level air for use in sick rooms, just as, at present, selt-rogenes ave filled with soda water, and it is even sug- gested that "fresh air depots" should be established where people could drop in for a "breathe." This would, it _is claimed, be much more effectual than dropping into a public house for a drink. Keeping pace with fashion pertaining to Rogtwear, requires tant : attention. The que aim of our business is to see we are always on: the top round of the ladder in aie and ab- solutely correct styles.
