The shipments here have not nearly equalled those of two years ago. Y.M.C.A. CHAMPIONS. Contingent from Kingston Y.M. C.A. to Go to Ottawa. The second annual championships of the Y.M.C.A. athietic league of Can- sda, to be held at Ottawa, September 15th, promises to be a most successful affair. Just eighteen months ago this was formed for the pro- motion of clean sport and athletics in Canada, and especially among the the YM.CAA's., so that it is the youngest organization of its kind in this country. On the first of October last year, in Toronto, was held the first annual championships which was perhaps the best managed and most successful meet of its kind ever held here A contingent from the local Y.M. C.A. are now in training at. Queen's Athletic Ground, including sprinters, middle and long distance men, who are planning to take the trip to Ottawa and bear the colors of their home as- sociation. Physical Director Beall, who is training them, would be glad to hear of any others who might find it possible to go, and will give them a try out at the grounds any afternoon at five o'clock. -- The Batteries Have Gone. This moming; "A" and "B" bat teries, R.C.F.A, left for Petewawa to enter camp. They will be away till the end of September.
