Now Necessary for 0'Kill Street Sewer Pipe. In view of. the aecision of the Yacht Club to remain in its present quarters, the city is "up against" a proposi- tion. Last year's eitv council guaran- teed a grant' of $400 to the Yacht Club, for the use of the pier, arrang- ed to be constructed out from the Ro- binson property, for the purpose of attaching to it, on the east side, the O'Kill street ses Oxtension pipe. This pier would: have been a fine pro- tection to the pipe. Now that it is not to he built, some other means of protecting the pipe. will have to 'he made. The pipe is three feet in dia- meter, and in , the shallow water, which extends some little distance out, wonld be an obstruction if laid in rock and rubble. The matter will en- gage the attention' of the hoard of works.
