She had whiskey. While she was talking with the proprietor, Henry 8S. Becker, Myrtle remarked to him that was "going to settle it," but he paid no attention to her, as he thought she was joking. When Becker" leit the parlor Myrtle picked up the whiskey and poured part of the contents of a bottle, which, 100K 'from' under her dress, into it. She then swallowed the mixture. The girl. was removed to Riverside hospi- tal. Her throat was badly burned, hut she.was soon out of danger.
