Thirty-two new pupils have been en rolled the public schools since they re-operied yesterday. The classes in the different schools are all filled their wtmost capacity. Miss Cannon, teacher at Wellington street school, is on the sick list to day. The grade meetings for the teachers started yesterday and are being wel attended. The Davis ship yard and dry dock is a busy place. The steamer Jessic Bain is in the dock and the schooner Flory Carveth is waiting to enter, The following boats are booked for dock: Steamers Islander, Rideau King, Ne kowis, Now Then, schooner Mary Me Donald, hopse boat at Cape Vincent, Farge Parsons, at Ogdensburg. All of the above boats are waiting their turn. The Davis company are also putting the finishing touthes on two steam yachts, five gasoline' launches and a very fine up-to-date sail boat for Mr. Patterson, of Montreal, ---------------------- Street Light Locations. r The fire and light committee will have to pick out five of the seven street light %efitions which it decided upon as most needed. The fire and light committee decided not to ercet any more lights in Sydenham, Ontario or St. Lawrence wards, as they thought these sections of the city were well cnough lighted.
