There was a heavy rainstorm at Bedford and surrounding district, Wednesday morning, and the storm reached within a mile and a half of Kingston. Passengers on the morn- ing train state that the rain was very heavy, and that all the windows in the coaches had to be closed. The crops around Bedford have been suf- fering a great deal as a result of the dry spell; and this downpour was gladly welcomed by the farmers. A fine crop of clover hay is promised in that district.
