Probably no better or more auspi- cious day than Dominion day could have been chosen for the annual games of the Dominion Cartridge com. pany Athletic association. Over 2,000 people flocked to the association's grounds at Brownsburg to witness the various events. The morning was taken up with a shooting match, open to all, in which many kecnly contested for the prizes. A baseball match agoinst . the Stars, Montrea:, and a football match against the Montreal Y.M.C.A. were the cvents of the afternoon. The former was de clared a draw, while the Dominion Cartridge company's team carried off the palm of victory in the latter. Walkerville, Ont., July 3.--Thomas Chick, a Windsor , Contractor, has commenced action for 'damages aggpinst the Walkerville town council.
