It would be a mistake, he faid, to not grant the option the company had asked for. On motion of Ald. Toye, the com- mittee decided to recommend to the {council that an option be granted Mr, |all THE FAR bh SUCCESS CROWDS WENT OVER TO : WOLFE ISLAND The Exhibits:Were Very Fine--Re- sult of the Horse Races--A Big Dance Was Held Wednesday Evening. The weather man continued to smile on the Wolfe Island fair and the se- cond day passed off in a most suc cessful manner. Wednesday was the closing <sss and from early morning until lafé at night =the crowd kept pouring into the village from all over the island and the ferry boat brought large crowds from the city every trip. The crowd was far larger on Wednes- day than on Tuesday, fully 2,000 peo- ple being present on the second day. The judging was not all finished un- til late Wednesday night. The judges had so many things to pass judgment on and the competition was so keen that they were kept busy. It was mostly live stock that was judged on Wednesday, carriage horses, farm horses, cows; sheep, pigs, ete., were there, and some fine specimens there were among them.
