Archibald, the dominion parole officer, who has been spending a few days in Kingston, Mr. Archibald has to visit' the penitentiaries; and he comes into personal contact with all the prisoners behind the bars, "Men who have been living a life of crime always like to tell someone the story of their life," Archibald, 'and when they are aware that I am taking an interest in them, they always are ready to tell me all about themselves.
