'Was the First WV aptist Sunday School Festival. The Christmas tree entertainment of {the First' Baptist Sunday school took {place on Tuesday evening, and was a [great success. The Sunday school hall was crowded with members of the school and their friends. Choruses, {sqngs and recitations were given by | pupils. The part played by the little { tots of the primary department was very entertaining. Dr. Lake, superin- tendent, gave a series of snapshot views of persons taking part in races, games, ball throwing, etc., at last | summer's picnic. This proved both in- teresting and amusing. Most interest- ing of all, however, were two beauti- fully decorated and heavy-laden Christmas trees. The little cradle-roll tree hore many toys and pretty things for the babies in this department. The other, a splendid large tree, was filled with presents and prizes for members of the school. Upwards of fifty beautiful volumes were presented to prize-winners. The entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed. | To Play In Belleville. The Belleville papers advertise a big hockey match there on New Year's night between the Belleville seniors 'and Kingston seniors.
