As the result of an accident at the outer junction, on Saturday night, William Jamieson, living on Barrio street, is confined to the ge neral thos- pital, suffering from gerious injuries, pennies era es from Pétrrboro,. on the local train, carly in the evening. The first boat started on the handicap at 2.4 ly increased to a very strong wind, so that the run was made in steam- boat time. In class 1 boats, the Isis finished first with a good ledd, and in class 2, the' Harmony won eut, beat® ing some of the class 1 yachts. The vachts remained in the cosy shelter of the Dominion Lands for the night, and part of the following day, owing to unfavorable weather eonditions. It was intended to cruise down, through the islands, but most of the boats spent the night at the Ganano- que Yacht Club. An effort was made to put on a sailing race at Ganano- que, on Labor day, but it did mot materialize. The Kathleen joined the fleet on Sunday morning, also John McKay's motor boat, the only one of the motor fleet to join the cruise. The other fair-weather motor sailors pre- ferred to remain at home. The fleet Jeit for home Monday afternoon, four of the boats returming by the north channel, stopping for dinner on the way up. The return homeward was commenced in the afternoon, and af ter a thrash to windward in a heavy wind, the fleet arrived home in good time, the last boat in about seven o'clock.
