At a quartet to the hour the in St. George's cathedral, on day morning, pealed out the march from "Lohengrin" and nuptial music, but as the clock struck elevin the surpliced choir and clergy entered, in process singing al a A Le stare of ichiel ai , 'Star : Morning so Glacioutht 4 Bion or words of prayer for "protec a all times of the angelic nossengers,' and the joyous music set to it, seem- ing very Btting for the i i was about entered the stalls the bridal compan came in the church door, the - | maids. The high altar was a mass of flowers, branches of gladioli being beneath the eross and coming from behind it. The altar rails and choir stalls were. covered with vines, and asters with beautiful dahlias, palms and ferns in every and . here and there bunches of Michaelmas daisies to greet the Michaelmas bride. A rope ol asters ran along the far edges of the {| pews where the guests were seated, and these floral garlands wee taken down and twifled about the eab which carried the young busband and his wife back to the wedding feast. It was a pretty thought, and many ave the hopes that the bride's path may be ever flower-garlanded in a figura tive sense. The service was full choral, the ex- | hortation being read by Canon Starr, | Dean Bidwell following, and when the ll | solemn Lath joined together let no man put words, "Thost whom God asunder,"' were spoken, the dean bound his stole about their joined hands. The hymn, "0 Perfect Love" was subg when the bride and groom were at the altar, all kneeling, aud Canon Starr said the closing pert ai the service, the dean giving the ad dress. The bride wore a gown of ivory satin duchess, with loug, sweeping train, over the bodice being a corseled of pearls, bands of pearis passing over the shoulders. The veil of tulle was caught with a _coronct of orange blos- soms, and fol over the winsome fged, and about the slender figure. Her boucuet was of - lilies of the valley, in- let of gold, set with pearls and the monds, which had belonged to groom's mother. The bridesmaids had charming frocks, of pale pink satin, with Zounve jack- ets of silver and pearls, and wore mushroom hats of pink chiffon and Jace, tied in the most becoming way, with full . strings of the chiffon. Mies Madelon Carter's frock was made af- ter the same prejty fashion as were thote worn byAhe bridesmaids, only she chose pale blue, and her jacket was of gold.) Her hat matched in shape the - bridesmaids, awd in color het dress. The groom, Robert Halloway Wad- dell, now of the Crown Bank, Ottawa, 18 a Kingstonian by birth, "and a great favorite, as were his father and mother before him. The best man was _the bride's brother, Hansard Hord, and to him the groom: gave a walking stiok, with silver band. His g'its "to the bridesmaids were gold safety (ihe with wish-bone in pearls, and to the . ushers, P..G. C. Camp- bell, B. Dalton, James Richardson and Frederick McParland, he gave stick- pins set with star and crescent of pearls: Among the many lovely gowns were noticed . the following : Miss Hora, the bride's aunt, a whose home the wedding breakfast was partaken of, green silk, with trimmings of jet, hat of green and roses. Mrs. C. Cartwright, another of the bride, maize satin, black hat and plumes. Miss Bessie Clark, St one of the house party, white gerie dress, with black hat. Mrs. Waddell set off for Scotland, the home of the groom's people, in a tailored suitgof taupe, relieved by a faint stripe in the material; and trim- med with jet buttoms. Her hat was a perfect match and most becoming. The weather was perfect, glorious sunshine and come down to t brighten ii for tho service, then a Jjow dreps of rain when the guests were safely housed for the | fast, which only served to enhance the sunshine which broke out in time for the drive to the station. There were some very good speeches at the broakiast, and the speakers told the bride, who has been belqved by young and old, how much sho will be missed. Her sweet voice and her gracious manner have been bright gpots in Kingston's daily life, and the old city feels very grieved over losing her. Mr. W Il has been, since a lad, identified with yachting and all soris of sports, and his comrades are con gratulating him and fclicitaling his bride with much enthusiasm, to-day, and wishing both bou voyage and a happy, sale roturn. He said he was simply walking along the railway tracks, looking out for a steamer, when a pov ceman gathered him in, The magistrate said that he would have the police constable's side of Yhe story, and it was to the effect that Segiin was in "slumberland" at Folger's wharf.
