Descronto, Aug. 28.-On Thursday morning 'there passed away, Daniel Me- Neill, aged sixty-two years, after a lingering illness, from asthma, at his residence, corner of Thomas snd Col lege streets. He is survived by one brother, John McNeill, Newburgh, and two sisters, Misses Mary and Margaret, at home. The funeral took place on Saturday morning, requiem mass being suid by Rev. Father Hartigan, at St. Vincent de Paul church, after which remains were placed in St. Anthony's church cemetery, Centreville. The late Mr. McNeill was born in Richmond county, coming to Deseronto rom Newburgh, six years ago, living a re tired life. He made many friends, who regret his loss. The pall-bearers were Messrs. John and William Wilson; Newburgh; Charles Reddie; Frank Me Neill, William Wilson and William Mar tn. At her home, 19th, death claimed one of Deseron- to's highly respected persons in Mrs. Jean Hruce, aged seventy-five Fouts relict of the late Alexander Max she having come from" Kingston forty. three years ago. On Sunday, August 2Ist, death claimed Arthur Penny, aged two years and %six months, son of Mr. and Mrs C. Penny, Thomas, after a short ill ness, from spinal menigitis. : On Saturday, August 20th, at his home on Napanee Road, death claim ed Robert Sager, who died suddenly of heart failure, his wile having prede ceased him a year ago.
