Inspec toe Stamrt was kept busy adjusting matiers, for there are always troubles arising from parents desiring to send their children to some favorite school or other, Tne rule is that pupils, in po far as possible, must attend the Jechools nearest their homes. The in- spector, during the summer, prepared lists showing where every pupil who attended last term should go in September, and each teacher was hand. ed a list, so he or she would know exactly the ones to admit to their classes, except in the cases of newly- arrived children to the city.
