Some Kingston people'and also a good many throughout the province were saved from losing a lot of money in the operations of {\. D. Sheldon, | the blind broker, of Montéenl, by n Kingston man who had made close enquiry into the dealin of the Montrealer some months ago. Last July, this gentleman informed a Whig representative that there would he trouble before the year was out. 1s hal mace aun investigation, and had given out information te various peo ple that caused them to drop out from further dealings with Sheldon. An Ottawa party had ten thousand dolbars mmvested, and he rot six thous. and dollars out before Sheldon ran away a few days ago. However, the profits he made will cover the other our thousand. It is vasderstood that there is only one Kingstonian who has lost money through thé Sheldon business. SEEKING HIS CHILDREN. Wife Brought Them to Kingston Orphanage.
