Hartington, Dee. 19.--On Wednesday evening, - 14th inst., commencement ex- ercises were held in the public school here, under the supervision of Mrs. Revelle. Then followed short' recitations by the fol- lowing small tots: Frankie Rogers, Helen Loyst, Salome Goslm, Dora Campsall, Joseph Rogers, Kathleen Clow, Mildred Sigsworth; readings by Lelin Clarke, Kenneth Morrisom and Keitha Purdy. A dialogue, "Toni's Practical Joke," chused much amuse ment. A character song, 'Little Maids from Hollarh" and a. taper drill were given by. the larger girls. A pleasing and instructive feature of the pro gramme was an address by Rev. J. A, Waddell, of Harrowsmith. J. E.
