The Bank has shared in the prosperity consequent thereon, and has add- ed to its active business as well as 10 its resources. Eight wew Branches have been opened during the year, making the total 4 siyhty five, Bid io 3 w new offices are at Bredenbury, Churchbridge, Glenavon, Kipling, Montmartre and Vibank, in the Pr avinoe of ov SA wy and at Borns, pine, and the corner of' Dundas and Talbot streets, London, in the Province of Omtario, The Head Office of the Bank has occupied its present premises for fifty years, and during these years the business has largely outgrown the avail- able accommodation. The Board has, therefore, had plans prepared for: the erection of new offices at an advantageous site on King and Bay streets, and building operations are about to be commenced. : W.. H. Beatty, the President of the Bank, having intimated to the Diree- tors u desire to be relieved of the duties and responsibilities of his position ,n8 President, the Direétors, with regret, complied with his rejnest. Mr. Beat: ty has been a member of the Board for twenty-nine years, during twenty. four of which he«served as Vice-President and five as President. Through- out those years he bas been unremitting im aotive and faithful service to promote and safeguard the interests of the 'Bank. The Directors have plea- sure in stating that he will continue to be a member of the Board. To occupy the Presidency thus vacated the Hoard elected Mr. Coulson, who now retires from the position of General Manager. Mr. Coulson has sekved the Bank for the long period of fifty-four years, during the past thir- ty-four Joon of which he had, with singular ability and fidelity, performed the duties of General Manager. As President he will still be influential in directing the affairs of the Bank, and continue services which the Board re gard as invaluable. : ; He.
