Allisonville, Jan. 18~Mr. Vanals time, a nan of eighty-five years, passed away on Thursday morning, at bis son's home near Mount Pleasant. He had been confined to his room only a few days. He leaves one son at home and one daughter, Mrs. R. Jones, at Ameliashurgh. He was a life-long member of the Orange order, and it was his request to have them assist in the funeral service, which took place at his son's, on Saturday forenoon. A large number of Allisonville lodge turned out to pay their last = respect to one of their oldest members, Rev. A. Hill conducted the services. The remains were taken to Cherry Valley for interment. A large sleigh load from here at- tended the party given by Mr. and Mes. William Pearsall's, at Mount Pleasant, on T v night. Bozeman, Mont, Jan. 19.--Married on Sunday to a man whom she had seen for the first and only time on the preceding Monday, and to not spoken directly until a few min utes before the wedding, is the record of Mrs, J. A. Traubb, of Bozeman. In the six intervening days the introduc- tion, the courtship, the proposal and the acceptance were all managed over the telephone and the wedding took place in a St. Paul road box car. It was indirectly a result of the recent blizzard and snowstorm which tied up all train service in Montama.
