Father Traynor, of Brewer's ills. the services of the travers, the Farmers' Bank in peniten- A Big Audience at the Grand Last Evening. "The Rejuvenation of Aunt Mary," as presented at the Grand Opera House last evening, is one of the most delightfully funny comedies seen in Kingston in a long while: Aint Mary herself proved to be such a sweet, dear creature that, after watching the play for a while, there wasn't one in the big audience that couldn't have wished to have an aunt just like her, The show is a real treat, wholesome, sweet and vastly entertaining, and the 'intensely human touch fused into it 'by May Robson in the title role made it all the more effective. The beauty of it all wis that everything was just as it might be in real life, -- natural, honest and earnest, and play- ed maturally, honestly and earnestly. An elderly maiden aunt with mwch money and 5 nephew inclined t, get into troudle, unwillingly and unthink- ingly of course, and the efforts of the 'aunt in rescuing the young man from entangl ts, that gives the theme of the story. The rejuvenating process pmes in about the time Aunt ary visits New York. The gaiety and the glitter and the hum and the hubbub of the city brings the countrg lady back to a feeling of her lost youth, and it is of the various situa- tions in this connection that the comedy isyproduced. And such thor ough com v one would have to go far to equal. Apart from the play itself, which is given by a remarkably clever and i capable company, the staging is a { feature which helps much to im press the spectators. Miss Faye Cusick, as Betty, lent splendid cup- port, while C. C. Gwyne and Nina Saville, as Joshua and Lacinda, Aunt Mary's servants, gave clever person ification of thoge roles, A ---------------------- TRADES AND LABOR COUNCIL.
