Fair, secretary-treasurer of the Kingston Shipbuilding Co., received this telegram from Ottawa: -- "The Minister of Marine authorizes me to notify you that the contract for the steamer Bellechase is award- ed to your company.--Wm. Harty." This is the second light- house steamer that the Can- adian Government has order- ed from the Kingston com- pany. The steamer Bellechase, which is to be built for the Canadian govern: ment, by the Kingston Shipbuilding Co., is a twin-screw survey and in- spection vessel for the St. Lawrence ship channel service below Quebec. It is to be 130 feet long, 27 feet beam and 13.6 feet moulded depth. THE LATE FELIX SHAW, Funeral Took Place From Residence This Afternoon. : The last sad rites over the remains of the tate Felix Shaw were conducted tis afternoon. The marriage took place, on Tuesday morning, of Mss Anme Elizabeth Jones, daughter of Mrs. John Reeves, Livingstone avenue, and Guy Cleve land Blodgett, of So ville, Mass, The ceremony was performed at - the home of the bride's mother, and was attended by the jmmediate relatives and friends. The ceremony was per- formed at tem o'clock, by Rev. J. 0, Crisp. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss May Jones, of this city, and the groomsman was Earl Bow- man, also of Kirigston. Mr. and Mrs. Blodgett left, at noon, for their home in Somerville, and will carry with them the best wishes of a host of friends. The bride is a gradu ate of the Memorial hospital, Massa- chusetts, and the groom is a professor of mathematics in a college at Somer- ville. Left for Toromto. M. Lemmon, who has had charge of the Y.M.C.A. boy tumblers, all winter, left fof Toronto, to-day, where he will be connected with the Canadian Fair banks company. Leo Singleton will have charge of the boys from now on, and as he is "a first rater" at tum- bling, the boys are looking forward to od something good. Skating on the Lake.
