By the explosion of a steam pipe on the steamer Turret Chief, when the boat was out about one hundred miles on Lake Su vr, headed for Fort William, a k hand, Archibald Laughton, aged fifteen, of Strathroy, tnt., was killed and Alberi Baker, a fireman, was badly scalded.
