A couple of nights ago it was stated in the Whig that several amateurs were rigging up wireless telegraph apparatus and were obtaining good results. Cre- dit must be given these boys who have devoted theier time in working out such a fine apparatus, which at present 'en- ables them to transmit for a distance of fifty miles, and receive from fifteen hundred to twe thousand miles. At midnight they are capable of receiving messages from Arlington, Virginia, L from the wireless station there. They can also make out signals from the Marconi station at Montreal and Cape The whole apparatus has been made bv the boys, with the exception of a few coils and ear-trumpets which are too delicate to be made satisfactory. The boys who have rigged the wireless up are George McLeod, a KCI. stu- dent, Arthur Cruse, Harold Farrar, and Willard Roche. The wireless is placed in a small room off the assembly hall on the upper flat of the Kingston Col- legiate Institute.
