Opposite Craix's Wholesale. tren et 00 01 DES Refunded Costs to Overseer The case againdt George Barr, fish- ery overseer for the township, of Portland, which was aired in the county court, héfore Justice of the Peace George Hunter, on December 5th., has been settled by the depart- ment, at Toronto. It will be remem- bered when 'this case was heard, it was decided to allow the government to come to some decifion in the mat- ter. Te magistrate decided that Mr. Barr should pay the cost of the court, which amounted to $4.75. | H. I= Bauder, of the same town- ship, charged Mr. Barr with seizing two, herring nets, which he claimed the overseer had 0 right to do.
