Chown, registrar of Queen's university, stated on Wednesday morning that he did not believe the! attendance at the university this fall would be injured to any extent by; the war conditions. ° On Wednesday morning the classes at the university were com- menced with a faif number of the students in attendance. This is the seyenty-fourth session of Queen's. There was a big rush of students at the registrar's office on Tuesday and Wednesday for fee-paying. 1t is expected that there will be large atiéndances inthe first years in all the faculties, A large num- ber of "freshettes" have arrived.
