Two resolutions were adopted. One expressed confidence in Sir R. L. Borden and his government and sat- isfaction that im this greatest crisis in the history of the empire, the reins of power at Ottawa were in the hands of the conservative party, which 'had tikem up the great bur- den imposed upon Canada of the war in no grudging spirit. The second resolution moysfning the loss of the late Sir Jathes Whitney, strongly endorsed his successor, Hon. Mr. Hears!, who had already won the confidence of the people of Ontario, and approved of the course adopted by his govern- ment since he accepted the leader- ship. .
