Mr. O'Connor is well. known as an energetic young business man, who has made good, and who now for the first time launches out for himself. Private Edwin Harris, Ottawa, a member of the 59th Battalion, Bar- riefield Camp, died in the General Hospital early Saturday morning, af- ter but a few days' illness. Deceas- ed was an Englishman, and was go- ing overseas. He enlisted about a month ago. Ryan and William May were charged with trespassing on the pro- perty of the veterinary stables of the R.C. H, A. Ryan was remanded till Tuesday, and May was discharged. Benjamin Burdoff and Stephen VanKquth, charged with fighting, were dismissed. Joseph Moran, on remand charged with teying to rob a foreigmer, was discharged. On a charge of vagrancy Ford Ormiston was given a chance to en- list; William Miller will be sent back to his home in the States,while Henry Scott will serve three weeks, Addressed By Principal Gordon The students of Queen's Summer School were addressed this after- noon by Principal Gordon. In his address on "The Function Of a Uni- versity," he endeavored to show that the university was not a thing apart, but a real living force for good, not only in the city or community in which it is but in the nation of which it forms a part. Tea Costs More Money. In a recent issue-of the London (Eng!) "Standard" it was stated: "That prices of tea have risen and are now &t their highest for thirty- six years." . This reflects the great- ly increased" cost of tea at the gar- dens whence the world's supply ori- ginates. Tea is undoubtedly cost- ing more throughout the world. Saturday's Market Prices.
