Huyler's week-end Sweets at Gib- son's Red Cross Drug store. i Had The Right Idea. We know a man who knows girls, all right, He's only six years old, but he ob- serves things. We heard his mother calling him down for rudeness at play, the other day, and our eaves- dropping was rewarded with this: "Billie," called the mother, "1 want you to quit teasing that little girl! Aren't you ashamed of your: self?" "Well, an'----' "You've got to tease somebody? That's a fine idea, I must say! And 50 " "Yes. 'n she wants to be teased. if I quit, she'll go play with some oth- er little. boy." --Cleveland Plaindeal- er, at Gibson's at Gibson's at Red I got to tease somebody ------------------ When War Will End. When will the war end? The "Figaro" gives the following curious prophecy in amswer to this question. Take the total of the two years of the Franco-Prussian War, 1870 and 1871, add them. The result will be the sum of 3741. The first year of figures in this sum, 3 and 7, when added, give a total of 10, while the other gives a total of 5. The peace treaty ending that war was signed on the tenth day of May, the fifth month in the year. Using the same process for thé years 1914 and 1915, the total is found to be 3829, and the respec- tive pairs give each a total ot eleven, which fact, in the opinion of the pro- phet, indicates that the war will end on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, that is, on November 11. Coins In Soldier's. Wound. A wdunded soldier from the front was operated upon in the Royaly -Berkshire Hospital, England, for an injury to his ' thigh. When the wound was probed it was found that a plece of shrapnel had carried a por- tion of the man's trousers pocket into the flesh, and with it several coins, -which were successfully ex- tracted. A Warning To Brides, Brides of a few weeks, and indeed wives of many years, may find profit in noting the tragic resnit of Jump ing at conclusions illustrated in a New Jersey incident, Charles The- len, partner in a store in Paterson, Save his personal card to a woman customer so she would know for whom to ask when she called to get an article she had ordered.
