An evi- dence of this fact is shown in the report given to this office by the father of a young Kings- tonian, who is serving with Queen's Engineers. The father subscribed for the Whig, so as to keep his boy posted with the events at home, while he was doing his "bit," and the son says he gets the newspaper regularly, although as yet he has not received one of the let- ters written to him by his father.
