Prominent Resident Passes Away At Advanced Age. Ciayton, N. Y., Dee. 29----John Gray, aged over eighty years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs Edith Halliday, in this village, on Friday night from diseasss of the heart. During the past year or two Mr. Gray had been in rather feeble health, Mr. Gray was bor in Clyde, Wayne County, N. Y., the son of Mr and Mrs. Richard Gray, who a few years previously had e¢ome to the United States from Edinburgh, Scot- land. Soon after his birth his par ents moved to near Redwood, N. Y., and he has since heen a resident of Jefferson County. He was married te Nancy, daughter of Lodowick and Julia Dillon, of Alexandra, and to them were born Frederick, Nettie, George, Richard. Edith and Burton Gray. After spending his early life near Redwood, Mr. Gray removed to the tows of Clayton, where for years he was a prosperous farmer, retiring from active life a few years ago.
