Ger- many, with 600 vessels sunk, cap- tured or detained, heads the list of losers. Two hundred and twenty-five of the 500 British vessels lost were sunk by submarines. Great Britain's Al- lies lost 167 ships. _ Austria lost 80, and Turkey 124. The total of neu- tral losses is put at 736, but m®st of 'these were released after .being reported captured.
