Another Member of the 154th Bat- talion Sent to Prison. Ernest Proulx, of the 154th Bat- talion, appeared before Lieut.-Col. Hunter esday morning to answer to a.charge of desertion, and wah sentenced to tén months' in Central Prison. Proult admitted to hdving deserted from the 38th Battalion In French-Canadian in that battalion." After leaving the 154th Battalion he went to Hawkesbury, where he secur- ed employment with a farmer. Two [friends of Proulx, also Freach-Can- ladians, were rounded up at Hawkes- bury recently on the charge of de- gertion, and were given a year in rison.
