Just what will be done with the boy, who is a bright youngster, has not yet béen decided, He has now reached the age when le must take up studies to fit him for his battle in life. His mother's relatives re- side over in Watertown, and it may be that some arrangements will be made for them to care for the lad. Another Member of the 154th Bat- talion Sent to Prison. Ernest Proulx, of the 154th Bat- talion, appeared before Lieut.-Col. Hunter esday morning to answer to a.charge of desertion, and wah sentenced to tén months' in Central Prison. Proult admitted to hdving deserted from the 38th Battalion In French-Canadian in that battalion." After leaving the 154th Battalion he went to Hawkesbury, where he secur- ed employment with a farmer. Two [friends of Proulx, also Freach-Can- ladians, were rounded up at Hawkes- bury recently on the charge of de- gertion, and were given a year in rison.
