An Event in Queen Street Methodist Sunday School. Queen Street Methodist Church Sunday school had a happy time yesterday afternoon. There was a jarge gathering of = scholars and friends: to witness the presentation of an address and the unveiling of a portrait to Robert Meek, superin- tendent emeritus, who recently re- tired after twenty-two years service, The splendidly worded address, read by R. M. Allen, bore tribute to the work and worth of Mr. Meek, and at | a given moment Mrs. G. A. Bateman unveiled a splendid picture of Mr. Meek. JLater Mrs. Bateman spoke apprecialively of the work of the late superintendent. His inflyence would long abide in the school. | Mr. Meek was greatly surprised.
