In the general appeal for assist- ance to aid the chaplains overseas in providing recreation for the men, the Diocese of Ontario has done more than the share alloted, chiefly ow- ing to-the efforts of its bishop and "|clergy. The sum of $860 was raised and forwarded in a few weeks. A comniittee was appointed to re- port concerning the fund of $500 standing in the name of St. John's church, Belleville. The clergy trust fund was .then dealt with. The annuitants have died, leaving fourteen annuitants on the fund. The report of the audit- most sustain seventeen annuitants. It was resolved to add Rev. JAt a meeting of the Board of Managers of Brock street Methodist church on Tuesday night the pastor, Rev. G. S. Clendinnen, was tendered a unanimous invitation to remain as pastor of the church for a fourth term, which commences on May lst next. The board made arrangements for the holding of their anniversary ser- vices on Sunday, Feb. "17th, Rev. Mr. Waddell, of Seeley's Bay, will be the preacher. ' The members spent some time in discussing the plebicite which is be- ing placed before all the church boards regarding the removal of the time Mmit on the term" of pastors.
