THE BOWLING TORN IS TO OPEN IN KINGSTON ON MONDAY NEXT. About Forty Teams Will Take, Part They Will be From Ottawa, Prescott, Brockville, Belleville, Cobourg and Other Places. The St. Lawrence Lawn Bowling Association will hold its annual tournament in Kingston. The games will be played on lawns at Queen's University and Rockwood Hospital, commencing on Monday, July 15th. The clubs at the following pla will send fmpeting teams: Ottawa, Prescott, Chesterville, Brockville, Newhoro, Belleville, Picton, Peter- borough, Port Hope, Cobourg. From thirty to forty teams will take part in the matches. The Canada malgh was won last year by the Ottawa Bowling Club, which holds the Wiser trophy, don- ated by J. P. Wiser & Sons, There are also four minature cups also presented by the same firm to win- ners. The Dominion match was won lasc year by the Vittoria Club, which is also an Ottawa club. The trophy 'was donated by Hon. Dr. J. Ix Reid. The St, Lawrence match was won by Queen's Bowling Club, Kingston, which 'holds the Domovan trophy, donated by J. P. Donovan, M.P.P. The other events are the corisola~ tion, doubles, fifteen ends, and singles, fifteen points. W. H. Wormwith is president of the local club, add H. W. Newman, secretary-treasurer.
